Tho the sources I read didn't specifically explain why you would brushh towards the heart, the closest I found was that it directs the lymph to drain into the heart, aiding in detoxification. Also, you don't want to potentially damage the circulatory valves (causing the blood to flow the incorrect direction). I found a great site that explains the procedure: http://www.naturalhealthtechniques.com/HealingTechniques/Dry_Brushing_Technique.htmNaturally Juleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09350070793840363820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6031991701354679400.post-10567102252043530642009-02-27T11:00:00.000-08:002009-02-27T11:00:00.000-08:00I had never heard of skin brushing and would love ...I had never heard of skin brushing and would love to learn more about it. Out of curiosity, why would you brush towards your heart? What is the rationale behind that recommendation?Pink Heelshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07708646660259729336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6031991701354679400.post-20669863765389547182009-02-26T12:31:00.000-08:002009-02-26T12:31:00.000-08:00Never heard of that but you got me curious. If I have it on a hook by the shower - it'll be right there as a reminder. Thanks for the idea!
